CKCTC colleceted data on the communities within the Claysburg-Kimmel School Distrcit. The following risks were prioritized:
Extreme Economic Deprivation
Living in deteriorating, economically deprived neighborhoods with little hope for the future
Family Management Problem
Lack of clear expectations for behavior
Failure to monitor children
Excessively severe or inconsistent punishment
Early & Persistent Antisocial Behavior Engaging in these activities during early adolescence:
Skipping school
Interrupting class
Getting into fights
Lack of Commitment to School
Not liking school
Not liking school work
Not liking teachers
Friends Who Engage in Problem Behavior Associating with people who:
Use drugs
Engage in violent and/or delinquent acts
Drop out of school
Are involved with teen pregnancy
